GAMES will be holding its annual general meeting and elections for our new execs next Wednesday. Afterwards, we'll have our last event of this school year with a SPECIAL Dessert and Coffee break

Time for our next eating event: SUGAR SHACK!!!For those who are not familiar, sugar shack (or in French "cabane ˆ sucre") is a Quebec tradition. Maple trees are grown in these areas and sap is collected from them to make maple syrup. The traditional meal we'll be having consists of a variety of dishes complemented with maple syrup.

GAMES is planning to go to Mont Saint-Sauveur & Mont-Avila for this year's 1 day ski trip with the "Concordia Ski and Snowboard Club"

December is just around the corner and to wrap up the year, GAMES is organizing a holiday dinner at BUFFET MAHARAJA (an Indian buffet).

Ready for some BLEU-BLANC-ROUGE?!??! We got tickets to see a Montreal Canadiens game!

Prepare and bring a dish for 4-5 people (do not worry if you cannot cook, you can go buy food and say you made it J). We will first eat dinner together and then watch a movie.

We’ll be providing snacks and BEER! Come DRESS UP because the 2 best costumes will receive gift certificates to Cineplex! We’ll be showing a horror movie to wrap up the night!

Our 2nd event of the year for our female mechies is……CAKE DECORATING CONTEST!Everyone is given a cup cake (or a slice of cake) to decorate. We’ll be providing all the ingredients and equipment. To make it more fun and to bring out the creative side in you, it will be a contest and everyone will get the chance to vote for the BEST decorated cake!

For our big summer event this year, we have decided to go on a 2 days & 1 night camping + canoeing trip!

Final exams are approaching and GAMES thought it would be nice to take a small break from studying by organizing a paintabll event!

---Saturday: Leave McGill around noon. Stay afternoon and overnight at Chalet or do whatever you want.
---Sunday: Leave the Chalet around 7:30am. Ski starts at 8:30am @ Mt. Tremblant. Leave for McGill around 4pm.

COST:
100$ for GAMES members. It is $70 if you have a season pass to Mt. Tremblent and want to join us.
130$ for non-GAMES members (guests).
INCLUDED: transportation, accommodation (two 5-bedroom Chalets), ski ticket and FUN.

The holiday season is approaching and GAMES thought it would be nice to help out the Montreal Children’s Hospital by helping them gift wrap at Place Montreal Trust! Come spend a few hours from your busy schedule to volunteer and HAVE FUN!

2. There will be 4-7 volunteers per shift, so first come first serve!

For this Halloween, GAMES is organizing a (horror) movie night and pumpkin carving contest from 6 PM to 10 PM. It will take place in Thomson House Basement and there will be free beer and snacks!

This is a whole day event (9:30 AM to 5:00 PM) that includes a short training course followed by a trail ride! If you are interested, please see Mostafa in room 351A, McDonald building.
Cost: $30 for GAMES members (all Graduate Mechanical Engineering students) and $40 for guests.

Come join us at the Three Bares fountain for some burgers, hot dogs and soft drinks!

From 12:00 to 2:00 PM.

The event starts with paddling (kayak or canoe) down the river for 2 hours and then, cycling back to the start point through a 4.5 km bike path; so it should be day full of fun!

From 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Cost: $30 for GAMES members (all Graduate Mechanical Engineering students) and $35 for non-GAMES members.

This week, GAMES will be organizing a special general meeting to elect your VP finance for the rest of 2010-2011 academic year. During this event, some ice cream and juice will be served. It will be delicious, and free, so come by, enjoy, and elect your new VP finance. From 2:30 to 4:00 PM in the GAMES room (MD 267).

Come to the Thomson House restaurant to watch World Cup from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This event is free and includes a first round of beer! Please, send an e-mail to Keyvan Rahmani to confirm your presence.

GAMES organized a brunch event: bagels, toast, cream cheese, jam, nutella, muffins, fruits and of course coffee and juice! From 10:30 to 12:00, in the GAMES room.

The 1st GAMES Poker Tournament! This is not a gambling event, so you will not pay more than the participation fee. It will be held at Thomson House, in the back-lounge on the first floor. 5$ participation fee (includes a first round of beer)!
